31 - Homework is Painful

Homework is Painful
Helping the kids with their homework can be painful.  "Helping" is probably the wrong word, it is more like pulling teeth.

29 - Bell Wire

20/2 AWG Bell Wire
Bell Wire, "is a low-voltage wire designed for use in interior residential applications", commonly used to connect alarm systems, door bells, buzzer systems, intercoms and thermostat controls.  It is a 2 x 20 gauge wire (commonly red/white or black/white).  Bell Wire is also my favorite DIY wire to use for home automation (Raspberry Pi / Arduino), for connecting up sensors.  It is fairly cheap and available locally at both Home Depot and Lowes.  It is still small enough to connect to bread boards (barely), very flexible, easy to strip, and a good conductor for long runs.

My other favorite, but more expensive, is CAT5/CAT6 wire.  I use CAT5/CAT6 when I need to run multiple lines to the same location, like with my home security panel project.

26 - Animal Kingdom

Savanna's animal collection far outweighs the space of her bed.
She tunnels under them to sleep at night.
Silly Savanna.

A good pile of nickles
The kids burned through 4 piles of these, at the Nickelcade, in under 2 hours

22 - Sick Little One

Poor little one.  Got a call from the school that his stomach wasn't feeling well.
I have no doubt of his claim, as he promptly fell asleep on the floor in front of the bathroom.

21 - Fuzzy Math

2 = 1?
Coworker tripped me up with this one, see if you can spot the fallacy.
For another math puzzle see "365 Project: 38 - Unbalanced Square Root (2-7)".

Evaluating Diverging Series?
Then he went on further to show proofs that these diverging series evaluate.
I thought he was playing tricks again, but sure enough, the proofs are listed in the math communities.
My mind has been blown. I may never sleep right again at night.

Answer: just in case you didn't spot the fallacy, (a - b) = 0, so the cancellation would be dividing both sides by zero.
